Freshness and a whole lot of love is at the heart of this bakery located in Chattanooga’s Southside. Niedlovs supports many of the local restaurants in the surrounding area with some of the most delicious baked goods you will ever try.
I have passed by this place so many times and finally was able to stop in for breakfast while my friend Hillary was in town visiting me.
Before you even walk into the building you already feel the warmth from the quaint outside seating area located under a pergola of vines and flowers. As soon as you open the door the smell of bread surrounds you and you are transported into the chic industrial bakery. The menu is painted on the wall with giant bread boards hanging on the other side. There is artwork all around the different size tables and you can even see into the bakery in the back.
When you are in line to order, someone will ask if you want anything from behind the glass. This is where all the baked goods are, or you can wait and place your ‘made to order’ meal from the menu items. After you order your meal, you get a number and then take a seat.
To drink, I ordered a latte while my friend, Hillary, got a cold brew. To eat I got the brioche egg sandwich and Hillary got the The Fancy on multigrain bread and we shared the potato cakes.
It took about 10 minutes for us to get our food and it probably took us less than 10 minutes to finish just because it was beyond delicious.
The brioche egg sandwich is egg, green onions, bacon, Gureye cheese, camaralized onions, chipotle mayo on a brioche bun.
The fancy is a fried egg, bacon, cheddar cheese, arugula, red onion, Jalapeño aioli on toast
The potato cakes are fingerling potatoes smashed drizzled in dill and Creme fraiche then topped with green onions.
All the food was amazingly balanced and I was so beyond impressed with everything. My only regret is not trying it sooner!
