It’s summer time, which means it’s time to enjoy some time in the sun. The best way to cool down from a day out in the sunshine or even a day at the office is with some yummy wine pops.
I was shopping at my local grocery store and found these adorable popsicle holders and had to have them.
They are made of silicone which I love because they are dishwasher safe. They came in these super cute colors with ‘Chill Out’ written on them. You can buy similar ones on Amazon.
I started to think of all the things I can make in them and I decided on one of my favorites, Wine Slushies. They are the perfect way to spend a hot summer afternoon.
All you need is two ingredients. Your favorite frozen fruit(s) and a sweeter white wine. For this round of pops I chose peaches and a Roscato white wine.
To make these, add the frozen fruit to a blender and then about half the bottle of wine. Less liquid is better to start with, you can always add more as you go.
Blend until you get a smooth consistency. Add more wine until you get to the right thickness. You want it to be almost like a milkshake thickness.
Fill the pops leaving enough room to put on the top. Place in the freezer for 4 hours and wait.
If you don’t want to wait the 4 hours for them to harden up, you can always enjoy the wine slushie in a cup!
These pops will have you reminiscing on your childhood but with an adulthood twist!
